Som interdisciplinært fagområde, der bevæger sig i krydsfeltet mellem biologi, datalogi og matematik, giver bioinformatikken mulighed for at stille de store spørgsmål og finde svarene på dem. Med et kursus inden for bioinformatik kan du blive endnu skarpere til at bearbejde biologiske data med den nyeste forskningsbaserede viden på hånden. Du kan f.eks. blive opdateret på de nyeste metoder inden for datalogi og databearbejdning såsom Machine Learning.
Evolutionære processer, proteinstrukturer og Next Generation Sekventering
Kurserne spænder fra viden om evolutionære processer til DNA- og RNA-sekventering. Endelig kan du tage skridtet videre og lære om populationsgenetiske og medicinsk genetiske analyser baseret på NGS (Next-Generation Sekventering). NGS er på få år blevet særdeles udbredt inden for biomedicinsk arbejde og kan bl.a. anvendes til at diagnosticere genetiske sygdomme.
Skræddersyede forskningsbaseret virksomhedsforløb giver jer mulighed for at tilrettelægge et kursusforløb for en gruppe medarbejdere.
Det giver jer adgang til den nyeste forskning inden for bioinformatik i en kontekst, der passer til jeres virksomhed. I tæt samarbejde med jer og KU’s forskere tilrettelægger vi et efteruddannelsesforløb. Det kan være et forløb inden for specifikke faglige emner i takt med, at ny forskning bliver tilgængelig, og derved byder på nye muligheder.

Genome Sequence Analysis This course is an introductory course to Bioinformatics for analysis of NGS. The course focuses on second-generation sequencing technology, its wide applications, and the Bioinformatics analysis of produced sequencing data. Newer sequencing technology (third generation) will also be overviewed. Strategies for analyzing second generation sequencing data will be covered, including quality control of raw sequencing data, mapping reads to a reference genome and contemporary downstream data analyses. |

Advanced Bioinformatics for Next-Generation Sequencing This course covers advanced topics in Bioinformatics for analysis of data next-generation sequencing (NGS). The course is based mostly on scientific papers and texts. The topics include: mapping algorithms, population genetic and medical genetic analysis based on NGS, RNA-sequencing, cross-species comparative genomic analyses, and other topics relating to high-throughput DNA-sequencing. |
