Whether you work with qualitative (e.g., texts) or quantitative data, this course provides you with practical skills and knowledge to leverage AI and LLMs in you daily work with data processing, analysis, and visualization. Additionally, the course will provide work-relevant examples on how LLMs can be used to optimize your workflows and assist you in specific data processing tasks.
This course introduces work-related use of LLMs, focusing on how to make use of them in collecting, summarizing, and showcasing information, how to leverage them as writing assistants and content creators, as well as other AI applications, such as natural language processing (NLP), image analysis, and automated transcription. In the course, you will learn how to set up and use the OpenAI API, including account setup, pricing, model selection, and prompt engineering for optimal results. You will also be introduced to an open-source alternative from Hugging Face and how the two compare with regards to performance, data security, and privacy. Lastly, this course will provide you with applied LLM use examples as inspiration for how to leverage the power of AI and LLMs in your specific work context.
The course runs over two days (9.00-13.30) a few weeks apart, specifically designed to provide you with the opportunity to try out your new skills between each course day. The course days will include a mix of introductions, hands-on exercises, and interactive Q&A components. Participants will have access to all course material beforehand and be able to run everything on their computers.

This includes consultants, ministry deputies, data analysts, market researchers, business strategists, and anyone who could benefit from enhancing and optimizing data processing and analysis through AI and LLMs.
A basic familiarity with scripting programming languages (e.g. Python, R, etc.) and a basic understanding of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) is assumed, but programming support will also be available.
